Sound familiar?

Somewhere they actually belong

Parents who find us are worried about the same three things. Not one of them is whether their child is any good at dancing.

  • “Everyone else will already know what they're doing.”

Every Mini class starts from zero, every term. Beginners aren't an afterthought here, they're the whole point.

  • “She's shy. She'll freeze on the first day.”

There's more than one teacher in every class, so a nervous child gets a hand while the rest of the room keeps moving.

  • “He's got the energy, but will he stick at it?”

Structure and kindness in equal measure. That's the combination that turns a first class into a second year.

The classes

Two ways to start

Both run 45 minutes, both are for Kindy and Year 1, and both start from zero. Pick the one that sounds most like your child.

Mini Ballet

Kindy – Year 145 minutesBeginners welcome

The real basics of classical ballet, taught the way five and six year olds actually learn. Posture, first positions, pointed toes and how to travel across a floor, wrapped in music and imagination so it never feels like a lesson.

They'll finish the term standing taller, listening harder, and knowing the difference between a plié and a tendu, which they will absolutely tell you about at dinner.

A second home, in their words

We could tell you why parents stay. It lands better coming from them.

★★★★★
“There are always plenty of staff on to encourage the students and give them enough guidance, so the ratio is really good in that respect… There is a very good, positive and encouraging culture here as well, and all the older kids look after the younger ones.”

Before you book

The questions parents actually ask

No. Mini Ballet and Mini Hip Hop are built for first timers. Most children in these classes have never danced before, and the whole class is taught at beginner level so nobody is playing catch-up.

Mini Ballet and Mini Hip Hop are for children in Kindergarten and Year 1, roughly ages 5 to 7. If your child is younger we have preschool classes, and if they're older we'll point you to the right class for their year.

Nothing special. Comfortable clothes they can move in, and bare feet or sneakers. If they continue, we'll give you the uniform list and uniforms are available through the studio.

That's very normal and we plan for it. There's more than one teacher in the room, so a shy child gets support while the rest of the class keeps moving. Plenty of our dancers spent their first class watching from the side, and were in the middle of the room by week three.

Yes. For the trial class you're welcome to stay, so your child settles and you can see exactly how a class runs.

We're at 2/96 Rogers Street, Roselands NSW 2196, minutes from Roselands Shopping Centre and easy to reach from Beverly Hills, Narwee, Kingsgrove, Wiley Park and Lakemba. There's off-street parking on site.

Our team calls or texts you within one business day to confirm a class time that suits you. You come along, your child dances, and there's no obligation to enrol afterwards.
